Abstract
A simple example related to the delay effect in bifurcation and systems with slowly varying parameters is considered. For the kind of problem considered it is shown that, due to the unavoidable presence of superstable trajectories it is not sufficient to base a feedback law on the qualitative assumption that unstable states are not observed and this approach must be replaced by a more quantitative one
