Abstract
The authors consider a SISO nonlinear system admitting a saddle-node bifurcation with respect to the control. They address the problem of uniform stabilization by output feedback of a given branch of the equilibrium curve. Sufficient conditions are obtained. They are applied to a continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) model. The thermal runaway of a CSTR is considered
