Abstract :
We propose an approach and a definition of the product configuration problem for the manufacturing industry. The presentation is divided in three parts. The first part analyses the industrial requirements in terms of configuration. The second part reviews the previous configuration definitions and presents and discusses our definition. The last part shows how our approach matches the industrial requirements
