Abstract
The authors present analysis and performance improvement in digital control using a novel discrete time operator. The properties of the low-pass filter operator ρ are examined as compared with the q or δ operator. It is shown that, with the appropriate choice of the design parameters c 1 and c 2, the ρ-model is superior to the q -model or the δ-model in nonadaptive and adaptive digital control applications
