Abstract
The time skew effect is a problem when combining real-time data from various control areas. Previous studies have shown that data passed through a communication network may have a time skew of the order of 5-60 minutes. In network modeling, this effect may result in a large power mismatch at the boundary buses. In order to minimize time skew effect and to improve the accuracy of the system model for network analysis, two prediction models are used to adjust the external network measurements. A simplified Taipower system is adopted to study the effect of these adjusted external measurements on the analysis of power mismatch
