Abstract
The new Triple-Single recloser revolutionizes distribution protection practices. The design provides cost effective single phase distribution feeder automation and achieves significant reliability improvement. The system includes three single-phase NOVATM reclosers and has the versatility of three modes of operation. The main operation differences of these three models are described in this paper. To show the reliability improvements obtained by using the Triple-Single recloser, distribution feeder reliability analysis is presented. The feeder reliability analysis results demonstrate how distribution reliability is improved by using the new Triple-Single recloser
