Abstract :
The polarization testability characteristics of an ARROW VCSEL, which has different X- and Y-polarized lateral profiles is modeled and juxtaposed with its equivalent index-guided VCSEL. It is found that the addition of ARROW allows the tailoring of the polarization bistability characteristics by varying the cladding thicknesses
