Abstract :
This paper has proposed a frequency divider with high division ratio for Ka-band applications. For demonstration purpose, a 27 to 3 GHz divider has been designed, fabricated and measured. The experimental results indicate that a locking range of 180 MHz has been achieved with high input sensitivity. Meanwhile, the required DC current is only 10.85 mA with power consumption being 12 mW. The studied frequency divider features simple circuit topology and low power consumption that is important in MMIC design.
