Abstract :
This paper analyzes the bandwidth characteristic of a transformer with a view point of the impedance matching and provides design rules. Based on the rules, two designs were demonstrated, the dual narrow path band transformer and the distributed active transformer (DAT) optimized for a wide bandwidth.
