Abstract :
The simulation model of the inverter based on switching function concept is studied and the open faults of switching device in the inverter are considered, the actual implementation of these models under different fault conditions are proposed with the help of MATLAB/SIMULINK. Using mathematical model of the induction motor, the s-function of the motor is written. Only to change the switching function block, the simulation can be done conveniently for inverter with different fault mode. The simulation results show that the stator current can be used for fault detection and diagnosis for inverter-fed motor drive system.
