Abstract :
Information relevant to back-pain treatment planning and outcome can be formulated by measuring the fatigue process of lumbar musculature. The clinical validation of an EMG median frequency technique for identifying lumbar muscle insufficiency in back patients and control subjects is presented. The results from two-group, stepwise discriminant analyses to identify low-back pain and non-low-back pain subjects indicate that this method could be useful as a clinical assessment procedure.<>
