Abstract :
The authors address two important problems related to soft failure detection identification, and recovery in multisensory robotic systems: the problem of accidental robot payload variations (load dropping) and the problem of recovery of 3-D dynamic information related to object recognition. A control/diagnostics scheme based on the four-parameter control configuration is designed to accommodate payload variations and hybrid range/intensity sensor is proposed for 3-D dynamic information recovery
