Abstract
This paper presents the concept of an optical time lens which produces a better optical pulse compression than the conventional time lens. The proposed time lens consists of a cascade of optical phase modulators instead of a single optical phase modulator of the conventional time lens and requires a smaller span of single mode optical fiber for generating a given degree of pulse compression
