Abstract :
The influence of model errors on conventional beamforming and on superresolution is investigated. The results of Steinberg (1976) and others describing the error influences on the expectation of the conventional radiation pattern are extended to coupling, position, randomly angular dependent and independent errors. The resulting error terms lead us to a new calibration scheme, which can be applied in the context of superresolution
