Abstract :
Coupling an auxiliary winding to the output filter inductor of a DC/DC converter has been analyzed to improve dynamic response of the power supply and reduce output voltage deviation when the converter is subjected to severe load steps. Influence of the turns ratio and the coupling coefficient of the coupled inductors has been analyzed. Both parameters have a strong impact on the performance of the converter. The performance of the solution proposed depends highly on the quality of the coupled inductors, namely its leakage inductance. Modern techniques to build these components allow for the low leakage required
