Abstract :
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is well-known technique for wireless data transmission. RFID technology is useful, efficient and universal in the near field communication application. An automatable vehicle RFID system is useful by various management manpower is not necessary. If vehicles are by RFID system identified, transit fares, parking-lot fees, tollgate fees and so on are collected automatically. Most of the car gate control systems include barriers. It takes a long time to pass a gate. In RFID system, important performance is the maximum read range and RFID reader have to detect perfectly the signal from the tag. In this study, we propose to position of tag antenna for vehicle. In order to control tag antenna directivity in the side- view mirror of vehicle, we researched for the optimum location. Tag antenna with characteristic of typical dipole is designed. A tag is located inside of side- view mirror of a car. Directivity pattern design by changed tag position in side-view mirror is presented. These design results will be employed vehicle in the future, usefully.
