Abstract :
A high frequency “triport” circuit topology suitable for low power DC UPS systems is proposed. The proposed topology integrates a battery charger/discharger and output voltage regulator using a single conversion stage. Operating principle and design procedure are given. Finally a prototype UPS is built which demonstrates excellent steady state and dynamic characteristics. The proposed UPS has direct applications in the locally powered hybrid fiber coax networks
