Abstract :
A new FDTD method based on equivalent circuit models has been presented for the transient analysis of transmission lines with frequency-dependent parameters. In contrast to the RC-based algorithms, no convolution computation is required in the proposed method. The generalized two-port equivalent model makes it straightforward to combine transmission lines with arbitrary termination networks. The numerical example shows that more accurate results are obtained from the proposed method.
