Abstract
We present an iterative Fourier-type algorithm which is introduced for DDS (damped and delayed sinusoid) parameter estimation using a sub-band processing approach. This algorithm is shown to improve on existing ones with respect to computational cost and estimation accuracy. Moreover, we derive the Cramer-Rao bound (CRB) expression for the DDS model and we perform a simulation-based performance analysis of a noisy fast time-varying synthetic signal and in the audio transient signal modeling context.
