  • Abstract
    Recently, Alberta electric utilities have been preparing citizens for rotating power cuts of 30 minute duration. The objective of this paper is to examine the past, understand the sequence of events that led to this predicament and suggest potential remedies within the framework of electricity deregulation currently under way in Canada.
