Abstract
This paper presents a novel construction method of compactly supported biorthogonal wavelet. In the course of design, two parameters are used to adjust the characteristics of wavelet. The attributes of biorthogonal wavelet such as supported interval, symmetry and vanishing moments can be chosen in processing of construction. By changing the scale factor and the sign factor, the required wavelet can be constructed whose waveform shape such as convergence and softness can be adjusted arbitrarily.
