Abstract :
The paper presents a mathematical model and algorithm of the software for transient phenomena simulation of the burning and extinguishing long secondary arc at high voltage overhead lines. The results of investigations of self extinguishing of secondary arc under automatic single phase reclosing (ASPR) for 500, 750, 1150 kV lines are given as well. Additionally transient recovery voltage after arc extinction and voltage at the neutral terminal of shunt reactor (in a case of four-key reactor) are determined.
