Abstract :
In this paper, a new circuit topology suitable for the design and implementation of tri-band filter is proposed. It uses a simple configuration with only two resonator sections, which lead to a compact structure as well as reduced insertion loss. Furthermore, step-impedance resonators that can offer multiple pass-bands and transmission zeros are developed for enhanced stop- band attenuation. In addition, closed-form design equations are made available for the determination of circuit parameters (line impedance).
