Abstract :
Simulation data illustrating emergence of ferroresonance processes in medium- and high-voltage electrical networks are reported. Cases, most frequently met in practice, in which ferroresonance oscillations arise, are addressed. Typical oscillograms depicting simulated phenomena are presented. Based on the data obtained, measures aimed at preventing possible ferroresonance oscillations in networks under study are proposed. As a most efficient measure, use of anti-resonance voltage transformers is recommended.
