Abstract
A technique was provided to nonintrusively detect different gas component by measuring the field-free alignment of molecules caused by 810nm femtosecond laser pulse. The results demonstrated that different gases present different alignment structures at room temperature under one atmosphere pressure. The technique can be employed for rapid detection of gas component.
