Abstract :
This paper presents an approach to extract partial discharge (PD) in power transformer by complex wavelet. A method of optimal complex wavelet selection was used based on the similarity between the wavelet and PD signals. The selected complex wavelet can be used to extract features of PD signal from signals which with strong disturbance and noise. The simulation results show that the complex wavelet method can significantly improve the feature extraction in PD signal processing in power transformer.
