Abstract :
An analysis of high energy ion generation mechanisms in the Z-pinches is given in the paper. A particular attention is paid to a mechanism of ion generation in the process of high temperature plasma expansion and to a mechanism of ion acceleration up to the Alfven velocity in a zone surrounding the pinch plasma column
