Abstract :
Ability of annular waveguide slot antenna (AWSA) arrays to radiate arbitrary linear horizontal or vertical polarization is presented in this paper for the first time. By forming a 4-element AWSA array and choosing the proper feed coefficients, linear polarization in any of the two principal directions is achieved. It will be shown that the novel AWSAs could have valuable and applicable polarization agility characteristic in their array combinations.
