Abstract :
First order dynamic systems are modelled in this paper through the fuzzy logic approach. Two types of model structures are considered, One takes a general form which is applicable to a large class of first order systems. The other is a specific structure which is properly based on a priori knowledge of the system under consideration. In the latter case, the fuzzy model of the whole system becomes a combination of two fuzzy sub-models, each in a space of reduced dimensions. Simulation results exhibit the capability of fuzzy models to accommodate nonlinearities in dynamical systems
