Abstract :
In this paper, a modified PIFA with a compact size of 34 mm x 8.0 mm x 8.0 mm is proposed. The uniqueness of this design is the inclusion of a T-shaped slot as well as a folded patch. Both the simulation and measurement results show that this novel design has a very wide impedance bandwidth and good return loss characteristics. The prototype model is fabricated and measured. The simulation results are compared with the measurements.
