Abstract
We have found that the decay rate of the magnitude of fringe (MF) transmitted through a Fabry-Perot cavity as a function of the scan speed of a cavity mirror depends on both the laser linewidth and the mirror reflectivity. Hence, if either the laser linewidth or the mirror reflectivity is unknown, we can determine it by fitting the magnitude of the fringe measured as a function of scan speed of a cavity mirror to the calculated MF.
