Abstract :
This paper describes the partnership developed between the San Francsico-based educational institutions and the City of San Francisco to design, implement and maintain a metropolitan area network for academic and municipal purposes. The primary goal of this project is to create a network for use by all public educational and municipal departments within San Francisco by leveraging the resources of all organizations to the maximum extent possible.
