Abstract :
In this paper a new scheme to improve the performance of TSA is proposed. By adjust the parameters of a inserted directive grating, the gain of TSA can be enhanced up to 2.4 dB and the beam-width in H-plane become narrower, even if under the same antenna profile. The further work should be done to optimize the structural parameters of the antenna by adopting curved or folded passive dipoles for higher performances and/or more compact structure; and more electronic properties (phase center variations, cross polarization, etc.) will be taken into account.
