Abstract :
We describe a CAD package software for the synthesis, analysis, and optimization of lumped element, waveguide (rectangular, ridged, and coplanar) filter structures based upon Chebyshev function prototypes. The software package DBFILTER has been developed with the specific goal of eliminating all experimental characterizations and manual adjustments required in the final filters. The software package DBFILTER is described itself, and the two actual filter implementations are presented. Measurements on a fabricated bandpass filter confirm the accuracy of design procedure
