Abstract
Computational method has been recognized as an indispensable tool in the interpretation of genetic data. Today, molecular biologists and bioinformaticists use software, algorithm and database extensively in handling the large amount of genetic data and protein data. A wide variety of computational tools has assisted scientists in the gene identification of cancers and other malicious diseases. Our research used Digital Gene Expression Displayer to identify the genes which contribute to colon carcinogenesis. Our results revealed several novel genes which has over expressed in the colon cancer tissue. Our findings may highlight to scientists and oncologists the candidate cancer genes for the colon cancer treatment.
