Abstract :
An artificial neural network can be tested by software simulation or by hardware implementation. In this paper "rapid prototyping techniques" are presented as an intermediate step in this implementation. The application of these techniques on artificial neural networks is analyzed working in the Matlab/xPC target environment. In addition, some developed artificial neural network prototypes and its application in the field of electrical engineering are presented.
