Abstract :
Chalcogenide glass is an attractive material for Er3+-doped planar waveguide devices operating in the 1550 nm range because of the ability to pattern waveguides by photodarkening, infrared transparency and high refractive index, and ease of thin film deposition. In this paper, we present an investigation of optical properties of Er3+ doped Ge33As12Se55 glasses. The samples were investigated by photoluminescence (PL) and PL excitation spectroscopies
