Abstract :
The higher harmonics created by powerful nonlinear loads and abrupt changes of such loads (for example, EAF) can considerably worsen quality of the buses voltage feeding of such loads. Results of researches on digital model the impact of the static compensator of the reactive power executed on full controlled valves (STATCOM) on levels of higher harmonics and oscillatory frequency components in the buses voltage are instanced.
