Abstract :
We investigate recording and read-out of holograms with pico- and femtosecond pulses. Our goal is to find out how changing the duration and peak intensity of the pulses affects the efficiency of recording and read-out of the gratings. We also propose new arrangements for optical processing using frequency conversion by specially recorded photo-induced gratings
