Abstract
Given a switched linear system, we give a reduced form of its equations by means of a feedback and a change of variables. For bimodal piecewise linear systems, this reduced form leads to a canonical form in the sense that it gives a complete set of invariants. A characterization of controllability is given in terms of these invariants.
