Abstract :
In this paper we use the output distributional influence function (ODIF), our recently introduced new tool for analysis of robustness, to evaluate the robustness properties of the weighted median filters. We examine especially the effect of the center weight upon robustness in the center weighted median filters by means of the ODIFs for the expectation and the variance. Different noise distributions are also considered in addition to the delta distribution traditionally used in the analysis of robustness
