Abstract :
This paper presents a new approach to secure data encryption for high bit-rates communications. The proposed scheme is based on RPK, a new cryptographic algorithm based on the discrete logarithm problem implemented by a discrete exponentiation over finite Galois fields GF[2 n] and the Alternating Stop and Go as a Stream Cipher Block. The paper describes RPK architecture solutions yielding low-complexity implementations, particularly suitable for encrypting high bit-rates multimedia contents. A comparison with alternative encryption schemes such as the classical RSA shows the implementation advantages of the RPK approach
