  • Abstract
We introduce a notation of a random Fourier series based on a communication theory model of phase noise and discuss the relation between this model and those discussed in Marcus. Two notions of representation of a random variable in terms of one another are introduced and a \´\´uniqueness" theorem is introduced. Applications to different engineering problems are discussed.
