Abstract :
A new control strategy for active power filters based on dynamic programming control is presented. This method replaces an active power filter with an ideal controllable current source whose waveform is optimally determined beforehand. This new control technique is very suitable for suppressing harmonics of nonlinear loads. In addition other parameters such as power factor can also be controlled
