Abstract
In this work, an accurate timing jitter analysis for the ideal TA was presented, and agrees with the MATLAB simulations well. Also, it is performed together with taking into account the output impedance of the TA. The timing jitter determines the upper bound of SNR. However, the limited SNR is large enough so that it does not restrict the performance of the wireless system. Moreover, in the IQ leakage and the notch characteristics, the effect of output impedance of the TA appears dominantly as compared with the effect of the timing jitter. Therefore, circuit design to achieve lower parasitic capacitance and output conductance of TA is desired.
