Abstract :
We show that j-rotation space-time block codes (STBCs) are basically location dependent and rotated group STBCs (LDRGSTBCs). We point out that LDRGSTBCs could be applied to any known STBC of square codeword matrix and, as an example, we apply LDRGSTBCs to some STBCs published in the literature. Known STBCs are merely designed by the criteria obtained from the codeword distance matrix. Therefore, STBCs, which have the same codeword autocorrelation matrix, perform the same bit error rate (BER). LDRGSTBCs do have the same autocorrelation matrix; therefore, they are group codes, which perform the same BER.
