Abstract
Proposes a method for supporting knowledge evolution and facilitating awareness in a community at the same time. A community is a group of people with common interests. It is necessary for community members to (i) know each other (e.g. who is around, who knows what), and (ii) share preferences and knowledge in order to encourage social interaction in the community. In our approach, the former is realized by visualizing community knowledge interaction, and the latter is supported by providing a community member environment where people can open up their knowledge to the community and learn freely from each others´ knowledge. We developed a system called CoMeMo-Community that visualizes knowledge interaction and helps with knowledge sharing in a networked community
