Abstract
This paper presents an ultra-wideband transmitter and receiver pair covering the frequency band of 3.1-4.8 GHz, based on the six-port technique. This six-port circuit utilizes three ultra-wideband 3-dB 90deg branch couplers and one 3-dB 0deg Wilkinson power divider. It is manufactured utilizing microstrips on a printed circuit board. The measurement shows that the transmitter and receiver are able to demodulate and modulate QPSK signals in the frequency range 3.1 to 4.8 GHz.
