Abstract :
We report on the experimental investigation of two-photon resonant pumping photoinduced SHG in Er3+-doped germano-aluminosilicate optical fibers pumped at 1.319 μm. We also demonstrated that for erbium free test fibers no SHG was observed, indicating that the presence of erbium ions in fiber core determines the condition for the SHG process
