Abstract :
This paper investigates the measurement uncertainties of high-voltage impulse dividers due to their non-ideal step response using the convolution method. Measured step responses of three different dividers and a range of practical impulse waveforms were used in the calculations. The obtained results indicate, for the first time, that the uncertainty contribution of a non-ideal step response can be estimated with sufficient accuracy using the convolution method.
